IS IT HARD TO DRAW ON A iPAD?
Yes. It is very different and it is like drawing on glass. And it does take time to learn how to connect your heart and hand using a new tool.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY LAYERS?
To get you started, the most important thing to understand is LAYERS. Layers allow you separate out elements of your drawing. When I draw on my iPad I always try to use three layers.
Layer One: Black Outline
Layer Two: Add Color
Layer Three: Accents/Background
I shared a video this week to help explain this concept more. In most apps, you can add a layer to your drawing. These new layers are transparent (which means clear).
So if you have three layers, on the top layer, you can draw an outline for your doodle. On the layer beneath that, add color and fill in the heart (this is my secret to coloring inside the lines). And on the bottom layer,
