I truly feel like this has been the best SUMMER ever!! I hosted the Doodle Summit in June and then took the most of the month of July off to vacation and be with my sweet children and family.
It was so incredible to have the chance to truly unplug and play with my children and create all kinds of art projects together. One of my favorite ideas came from my private Doodle Girl & Friends Facebook Group where all my students and I share our ideas, insights and inspirations with each other. One of the founding members of the Doodle Institute, Michael Carroll posted a link to a great YouTube video for making 3D Paper Houses.
I knew instantly that I wanted to do this project with my children. We had the best time and it took us two days of doodling, coloring, folding and cutting to create our finished homes and it was soooo worth it. We sat around the kitchen table at my Mother's house and told stories while we dreamed up the furniture and decorations in each of our homes.
When I posted the final pictures and videos online I had no idea how much people would love seeing our project. I had so many people request a template of how to make a doodle house of their own that I decided to create a template and post it the Doodle Clubhouse for all our DOODLE FRIENDS to enjoy this project with your family.
