Welcome to the Doodle Institute
The Doodle Institute is a creative community I started in 2014 as a way to share my passion for doodling, painting, and drawing on the iPad. What began as a simple desire to make art more accessible has grown into a supportive space for adults who want more creativity in their lives and a clear path to build their skills—from pen and paper to digital drawing.
The Doodle Institute
The Doodle Institute is built as a layered creative experience designed to help you grow over time. Instead of one-off lessons, you’re supported through guided practice, foundational instruction, and ongoing studio access. Each part works together to build confidence, strengthen skill, and help you develop your unique visual voice.
Inside the Doodle Institute, you’ll find three core components:
1. Guided Workbooks
Action-focused, printable resources filled with step-by-step exercises, prompts, and structured pages that move you from idea to finished artwork. The workbooks help you practice consistently and build confidence through repetition.
2. Foundational Online Courses
Six self-paced courses covering doodling, sketchbook development, digital drawing on the iPad, painting techniques, art journaling, and learning to love your artwork. These courses provide structure, technique, and a clear creative pathway you can return to anytime.
3. The Studio Membership
Ongoing monthly lessons released inside the membership — one doodle lesson, one iPad lesson, and one painting session — inspired by what I am currently creating in my studio. With guided instruction and downloadable worksheets, this is where your creativity stays active and continues to evolve.

A thoughtfully designed collection of six self-paced courses that guide you from 21 Doodle Days and Sketchbook Basics to Digital Doodles and drawing on the iPad, from learning how to truly Love Your Artwork to building confidence with paint and creating expressive art journals in Spirit of Doodles. Each course is designed to build skill and belief at the same time—offering practical techniques, approachable lessons, and space to grow at your own pace. This library is not about rushing mastery. It is about developing your visual voice step by step, gaining confidence across mediums, and creating artwork that feels personal, joyful, and fully your own.
Doodle Friends Art Club
Membership
Each month, you’ll step into my real creative process as I share three brand-new lessons inspired by what I’m currently making one sketch session, one iPad lesson, and one painting experience. You won’t just watch techniques. You’ll build skills across mediums while seeing how ideas evolve from sketch to finished piece. Every lesson includes downloadable worksheets to guide you, spark ideas, and help you grow with confidence. And at the end of each month, one member will receive an original studio painting. This is ongoing access to a working artist’s studio. If you’ve ever wanted more detail, more depth, and more connection to the work I’m creating this is where it happens.
