There’s something incredibly satisfying about filling a page with color blocks and playful patterns. It’s one of my favorite ways to warm up my creative muscles, experiment with new color combos, and just let loose with my brush.
In this 90-second clip, you’ll get a glimpse of a recent watercolor session where I created a grid of bold color squares and filled each one with unique patterns—dots, stripes, swirls, and more. It’s a simple but powerful exercise to explore repetition, rhythm, and contrast.
Whether you’re brand new to painting or looking for fresh inspiration, this lesson is a great way to unlock new ideas. And the best part? You don’t need fancy supplies—just a brush, some watercolors, and a willingness to play.
